Cédric is graduated from Ecole d’ingénieur de Chimie (CPE Lyon) with a master’s degree with Dr. Balme in heterocyclic chemistry. After completing his PhD in organic chemistry with Prof. Jieping Zhu at Institut de Chimie des Substances Naturelles (ICSN) of Gif-sur-Yvette near Paris with a CNRS/Rhodia fellowship, he joined Sanofi Toulouse for an internal postdoc in 2005 in order to work on GPCR in the exploratory research department. From 2006 to 2010, Cédric was in charge of different program in metabolism and asthma.

Cédric joined the Infectious Diseases Therapeutic Area in 2010 to start the first MedChem program in the department on a new natural product active on Gram-positive. Then Cédric was in charge of different program in tuberculosis internally and externally within different consortium like TB Drug Accelerator , TB Alliance and Bill&Melinda Gates Fundation.

Currently Cédric is leading a new project in Gram-negative field which is a very promising new chemical natural product active on resistant strains (ESBL & CRE). A lot of progress has been achieved from the initial natural scaffold by improving in vitro and in vivo activity.

He is author of several publications and patents and behind discovery of different hits and leads in infectious diseases and pre-clinical candidate in metabolism.
