Pr. Giulia C. Marchetti, MD PhD, has been involved and interested in studies of immune pathogenesis and immune reconstitution in HIV infection, molecular biology techniques in the diagnosis and typing of Mycobacteria, use of immunomodulant factors as adjuvant therapy of opportunistic infections in AIDS patients. Since February 2015, Pr Marchetti is Associate Professor at the Dept of Health Sciences, Clinic of Infectious Diseases at University of Milan in Italy. She is also Professor of Infectious Diseases at the University of Milan, since 2005. Dr. Marchetti has been involved in studies of HIV pathogenesis, therapies, and HIV-related comorbidities since 1996 and has authored or coauthored over 100 original peer-reviewed publications in this field, H-index 22, number of citations in the past 15 years 1632. Her work has been presented at national and international conferences in the context of both oral presentations of original research and invited lectures. She servers as referee within peer-review journals in the field of HIV/AIDS (Plos Pathogens, Journal of Infectious Diseases, AIDS, JAIDS). In recent years, Pr. Marchetti is member of several institutional committees, as Board of Directors and scientific Commitee of the Fondazione Icona (Italian Cohort Naive Antiretrovirals), Scientific Commitee of the Italian National Association against AIDS (ANLAIDS).
