Scientist / Manager - International Microbiology Department, L’Oreal Research and Innovation, Paris - France
After his “Maîtrise” in Biochemistry in Lebanon, Gabriel Ahmad KHODR has been selected by the International Scholarship program of the Ecole Normale Supérieure de Cachan to do his Masters in Microbiology and Biochemistry.
Following the Masters, he has conducted a Ph.D. research program in Microbiology and Molecular Biology at the ENS Cachan, France, focusing on the virulence of Enteropathogenic E. coli : “H-NS family proteins: differential regulation of LEE operons by H-NS and Ler proteins in EPEC”.
Dr. KHODR has carried-out a post-Doc research program at the Pasteur institute Paris, where he has applied Transcriptomics and Next Generation Sequencing tools to decipher virulence mechanisms of Legionella pneumophila.
Recently, he has joined the International Microbiology department in L’Oréal Research and Innovation as a Research Scientist/Manager where he is leading a Working Group that aims to build a Microbiome evaluation toolbox in vitro and standardize and validate clinical/skin Microbiome metagenomic studies and data.
