BacTouBac is back with a new edition dedicated to “One world, One Health: Sharing a World with Bacteria”. This second edition takes a “One Health” perspective across the medical, veterinary and environmental sectors.
Through 2-day conferences, debates and matchmaking sessions, join us to meet your future partners and initiate your new collaborative projects.

Editorial
Liberto Yubero, President of the Cancer-Bio-Santé Cluster organizer of BacTouBac
Two years after the first edition of BacTouBac, the second meeting will take place on December 11th and 12th, dedicated to microbiology field, which currently offers a real potential for innovation and presents many challenges.
It is throughout the Occitanie Region that the microbiology field is developing and strengthening. While the fight against antimicrobial resistance remains the major public health issue that is urgently awaiting solutions, the interest in the microbial world is part of a broader approach, especially given the preponderant role of tissue microbiota in our health. Interest in microorganisms also opens up great opportunities for developing biological tools as a source of new industrial applications. It is also in this broader context that the interactions between human, animal and environmental health are analysed.
BacTouBac is therefore an event towards which scientific, clinical and entrepreneurial interests converge, and to which innovation plays a fundamental role.
To address the exchanges between all these sectors, academic, medical, veterinary and environment, two days are necessary in order to reinforce the existing relations and to form future collaborations. For this purpose, a business convention is organized and regional and national investors will participate.
Similar to the first edition, the Cancer-Bio-Santé Cluster team is holding this event with decisive commitment of members of its multidisciplinary Organizing Committee where academics, public and private researchers, clinicians and representatives of institutions, local authorities and entrepreneurs of biotechnology companies. In addition, thanks to the sponsors convinced of the interest of such an event, we wish to make this second edition of BacTouBac a key event of the microbiology field.
My thanks go to them and the positive benefits of BacTouBac 2018 success will be also to them.
Liberto YUBERO, President of the Cancer-Bio-Santé Cluster
